Forensic Mental Health & Justice System
We provide forensic mental health services, including Competency to Stand Trial Evaluations and Risk Assessments to aid the justice system in determining individuals' mental fitness and potential risks. Our services also include Diversion options and Psychiatric Stabilizations for those who may benefit from treatment instead of prosecution. Additionally, we offer General Psychiatric Evaluations and consultations for mental health and substance use concerns in legal cases.

Competency To Stand Trial Evaluations

Adult and Juvenile evaluations in criminal court related to a persons present ability to:

Understand the nature and consequences of the criminal charges against them.

Effectively and rationally assist in their own defense.

Potentially triggers competency restoration/remediation treatment ordered by the court.​

Diversion

Includes options for diversion prior to arrest or after booking if the person would benefit from mental health treatment and public safety is not compromised.

Treatment options rather than continued prosecution explored.

Treatment arrangement as a settlement/resolution of case when suitable.

General Psychiatric Evaluations for Court

(i.e., diagnostic clarification, level of functioning, impairment specific, etc.).
Risk Assessment Evaluations

Formalized risk assessment protocol for either criminal proceedings or criminal justice supervision cause.

Psychiatric Stabilizations

Either prior to arrest or during court proceedings if someone becomes a danger to self or to others and needs to return to baseline/secure safety, secure stabilization is arranged.
